BETHCAR -125bJames joined the practice at the beginning of 2012, and has interests in all areas of dentistry, particularly when they overlap in a challenging treatment plan.


Since qualifying as a dentist at Cardiff University in 2008 he has worked in different settings to broaden experience and skill. Following a year of vocational training, he worked for a period in the community dental services providing a full range of dental treatment for children and gaining much experience treating people with special health needs both at the clinics and in people’s homes/schools or care facilities.


For 2 years James worked as a senior house officer in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department at the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport. During this time he gained practical experience performing all aspects of oral, dental and facial surgery.


James also works currently for the Aneurin Bevan Health Board providing weekend and evening emergency dental clinical cover and direct advice to patients via a telephone helpline.
